Poetry as a form of expression is still very relevant in this age of information and technology. In fact, poetry is gaining much popularity, even among professionals who themselves will not claim to be poets, be they architects, engineers and industrialists who passionately render poetic themes in their work.

It therefore very encouraging to see three of our professors from the School of Medical Sciences, decided to publish their combined works on poetry. Medicine as a field that dedicates itself to the human well-being and healing is innately linked to the essence of poetry. Like a poet, health care professors may be able to express themselves like that of poets too!

This compilation is indeed in tandem with vision and effort to merge the arts and sciences into a wholesome body of knowledge. It closely reflects our philosophy of the ‘’ University in a garden’’ where things are harmoniously blended together!
